FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts --(BW)-- IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows and events, announced a collaboration with Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open source solutions, to produce the 2008 Red Hat Summit. The Summit, now in its fourth year, is a must-attend event for IT professionals to learn the value of open source innovations, and to network with colleagues from Red Hat, partners, and the community at large. The 2008 event is scheduled to take place June 18-20, 2008, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. “IDG World Expo has a proven track record of producing great events with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service,” said Michael Chen, vice president of Corporate Marketing at Red Hat. “We are very excited to be collaborating with them, and we’re confident that IDG World Expo will help us offer a great experience to our attendees.” The Red Hat Summit brings together a wide range of partners and customers in an open source knowledge exchange. Tracks are designed to address important industry topics including virtualization, system performance, security, best practices in open source, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and intellectual property.
